Dear Laurent,

I was just looking through my photographs of the boat tour we took with you this summer, and I just had to write to you to thank you again for the fantastic service you provided us, but most of all for the great fun my family and I had cruising on your beautiful boat.

Travelling from our hometown in Munich, Germany, we were very much looking forward to experiencing the natural beauty of British Columbia – and you made our dreams come true!

My aunt was delighted that we stayed at the elegant but rustic West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont. My cousin loved cruising Hotham Sound where the Harmony Islands overlook that beautiful waterfall. My cousin’s husband enjoyed driving your fast boat over the whirlpools of the Skookumchuck Rapids. I very much enjoyed the beach day on Thormanby Island and the vegetarian picnic you had specially prepared for us. The swimming on that sandy beach was superb!

In our boat trip, you showed us incredible places of great natural beauty that we have never seen before. These magical little coves and islands came to life with the wildlife we were able to see and photograph from your boat, as well as during our hikes in the forest. I was able to take dozens of photos of Bald eagles and Osprey sitting on top of tall trees or catching fish in the ocean, as well as photos of many other bird species such as Mergansers, Kingfishers, Herons and Sandpipers. I photographed seals basking on sunny rocks, raccoons eating oysters on the beach and tiny hummingbirds hovering over beautiful flowers!

But all my family agrees that the most exciting time for all of us, started the moment you spotted orca whales in the distance swimming towards the boat. You immediately turned off the boat’s engine and within a few minutes, we were surrounded by these magnificent marine mammals who swam around and under your boat, only to leave us in complete awe of the beauty of these whales and their ocean habitat.

The other thing all my family agrees upon, is that we will have to do it again! Next time, we are planning to book you for a longer time so you can take us to explore Desolation Sound, which we have heard so much about. My aunt wants to go even further and is already trying to convince us to ask you to take us to stay at the Dent Island resort she has read so much about.

In the end, wherever we decide to travel with you, we are certain it will be another marvelous experience. Looking forward to our next boat trip with Captain Laurent.
